Yesterday, it rained all day and all night. People in Houston forget how to drive when it rains (of course, that's admitting they know how to drive in the first place). I'd hate to see what would happen if it snowed here.

Houston is basically built on top of a swamp. When it rains all day, a lot of the underpasses and roads flood. People apparently forget that this happens every time, and every time, the news shows lots and lots of cars STUCK IN THE WATER, because they are stupid and TRIED TO DRIVE THROUGH IT. When will they learn?

My drive home from work took an hour and 15 minutes, when normally it takes 30. I went to the store and got the ingredients for beef stew and made a big ot of it for dinner. It was lovely, and the leftovers are to be eaten for lunch today.

Thank goodness it's Friday. I need some good sleep.
