I will now take this time to rant about inexplicable fashion trends. My main targets are:

1. Capri pants

2. Stretch clothing

3. Low rise jeans

4. Plus sized clothing in general

::positioning soap box juuuust so and stepping up::

1. Capri pants look good on very few people. You must be tall and willowy to pull these off. Most of us are not tall and willowy. They make short legged people look even shorter and wide people look even wider. And for those of us that are both short legged AND wide, well, we should run screaming from them. And WHAT is WITH cow print capri pants in plus sizes?!?!? ACK! NONONONONONONO!

2. Stretch jeans are acceptable as long as they are not skin tight. They are not meant to be worn as leggings. Stretch shirts are just wrong, because they cling to every flaw.

3. Who decided these were a good idea? I personally know precisely two people that can pull these off. I think the population as a whole has a fraction of a percent of people who can look good in these.

4. Things most plus sized women do not want to wear (short version) -

sleeveless shirts/dresses

Dresses that look like they were made by Abdul the Tent Maker

Polyester

What is WITH plus sized formalwear? It all looks like Mother of the Bride wear and/or is encrusted with sequins.
